Walk Hope Survive
The Hope of Survivors 2017 Walkathon Taking Place August 1-6
August is Clergy Sexual Abuse Awareness and Prevention (CSAAP) campaign.
This year, we are holding our second annual benefit event!
All proceeds will go directly toward raising awareness of clergy sexual abuse and victim support.
Since 2002, thousands of victims have contacted The Hope of Survivors from over 35 countries and more than 55 denominations, religious and faith communities. As one survivor stated, “You are a blessing to me. Though others may not understand, it is comforting to talk to someone who does! I hope because of CSA awareness month this August more people will become educated on the issue and that more victims will be helped. I like keeping up with the THOS postings as it gives me a sense of belonging to a community of people who understand.”
There are several ways you can participate:
• by walking and raising donations;
• by praying; and,
• by making a financial contribution.
Any way(s) you choose, your participation will make a global impact! All you need to do is walk, wherever you are (even on your treadmill), individually or with a team, and have people support your walk through contributions.
Top 10 prizes will be awarded to the walkers with the highest donation amounts. Prizes to be determined. Rubber bracelets will be given to all participants. In order to get all the information and bracelets to each participant, please sign up before July 15. For more information, please contact Mary Jo Noworyta at mj@thehopeofsurvivors.org or (716) 608-8171.
If you are unable to participate in the walk, please consider supporting The Hope of Survivors by way of prayer and/or a financial contribution.
