Sandy Kirkham

Sandy first contacted The Hope of Survivors in February 2005 after finding the web site. Her youth pastor sexually abused her at age 16 for a period of over 3 years. She thought the best way to deal with this issue in her life was to try to forget it and move on. While there were some in the congregation who knew of the situation, she never spoke to anyone about what the pastor had done. She never talked to her husband about it until March 2004, when the memories she had worked so hard to suppress returned without warning and with a vengeance. She has been on a journey of healing the last 3 years. Where once she believed her faith and trust in the church would never be the same, she now sees God working in her life. She has a renewed faith and hope.

Sandy is married to Bill, an attorney in Cincinnati, and they have two children, Beth and Bob. Sandy enjoys golf and scrapbooking, and says it is a joy and honor to work with The Hope of Survivors ministry.
