Theresa Redden
Hi my name is Theresa. I am 7th of 8 children. I have been married going on 34 years to my beloved husband Mark. We have 4 grown adult married children and 13 grandchildren. I am Mexican, born in the USA, living in Australia and a citizen of Heaven. Originally from Southern California, we migrated to Oz in 1998 when our children were 11, 9, 6 and 4.
I was raised in a Christian home, which gave me my strong foundational strength and love of Jesus. From an early age, I desired to be a Missionary. It wasn’t until our trip in 1997 to Russia that the Lord affirmed our steps and led us to Oz. The process was very precise and evident. Although we faced some hurdles, the Lord parted the seas, provided a job that supplied initial accommodation, a 20ft container for our household goods and airfare for all 6 of us. This was an above and beyond clear provision and leading from the Lord.
I have always been involved with advocacy from a very young age. The Lord has given me the gift of discernment, hospitality and tenacity. The Lord has used me and has given me the opportunity to speak into the lives of some individuals who need out. The Lord orchestrated these divine appointments.
I have been a childcare director, children’s ministry leader, special education assistant (SLSO). I taught Scripture in the schools for 15 years here in Oz. For a season after all my children married and we empty nested, I tried my hand at serving in a butchery, Australia Post and School Uniform warehouse. All for the reason to be involved in the Community. My husband and I have led youth ministry, home fellowships and housed refuge and recovery individuals. I recently helped one day a week serving families through a community food pantry.
Since 2014 to the present, I am a health and wellness advocate, end of life doula and birthing doula. I assist and coach women throughout their pregnancy and birth. This is a calling and being able to see Life (Zoe) be brought earth side, is an incredible blessing. My heart is to assist women of abused circumstances who are expecting but fleeing the abuser.
I have a heart for all individuals in abusive circumstances and sadly enough this has become an epidemic within the church.
I look forward to meeting some of you and seeing how the Lord is going to use me with The Hope of Survivors—Australia in 2021 and beyond.
Lord willing, together we can see progress in the lives of many.
